• KKI consults:
  We inform you how to use the internet and its ressources in your institution in an efficient way. The World Wide Web as a subsystem of the internet is in the most cases that what you want to know about.
• KKI encourages:
  The Bundesministerium für Bildung, Wissenschaft, Forschung und Technologie has started a campaign in which german schools shall gain access to the internet: Schulen ans Netz e.V. (SAN). The KKI supports this campaign in Göttingen in several projects.
• KKI arranges:
  With the great proliferation of local POPs (Point Of Presence) in germany the fight for customers becomes harder. The people at KKI try to keep an overview about the local market and to hand down reliable information to interested institutions.
• KKI promotes:
  As members of scientific institutions at the university the people at KKI are interested in the long standing development of the internet and the World Wide Web and the effects on society, science and cultural life. In our projects in collaboration with the Forschungs- und Technologiekontaktstelle at the Universität Göttingen we wish to introduce the World Wide Web to institutions of all kind, especially to those institutions, that are not naturally interested in the internet, e.g. cultural institutions.

• If you want to work with us ...
  ... there are three kinds of membership available:
  
  
  1. active members are those who want to take part in the honorary work of KKI. Active members are full entitled to vote.
  2. passive members are those who don't want to take part in the honorary work of KKI. Passive members are full entitled to vote.
  3. promoting members may materially promote the projects and work of the KKI. This promoting can be honored particularly in the publications and other public work of our society. Promoting members are nonvoting.
